This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release a person, accept or post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the government office that holds the information.

Choose the Correct Records Office

Canyon County arrest information is split among the Sheriff's Office, jail, city police departments, courts, and state or federal agencies. The office that created or keeps a record is its custodian. Using the right custodian is important because a recent booking card, current jail status, police incident report, and court disposition are different records.

Route a question according to the record or custody stage:

  • For a recent booking record or photograph, begin with the county recent-arrests search paths, then use the Sheriff's records request process for an official copy.
  • For a person who may have been arrested today, check Arrested Today and confirm present status with the Jail Roster or jail line.
  • For several days of visible booking entries, use Arrest Reports. Older items may require a request to the arresting agency.
  • For release, transfer, or escape alerts, use the VINE Arrest Check and Canyon County Victim Witness route.
  • For the police incident itself, contact the arresting city department. Nampa Police, Caldwell Police, and Middleton Police keep their own city-created reports.
  • For charges filed in court, hearing dates, or case disposition, search Idaho iCourt or contact the Canyon County court records office.
  • For a person under state prison, probation, or parole authority, use the Idaho Department of Correction Resident and Client Search.
  • For federal prison or immigration detention, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator rather than the county jail.

The county Current Arrests feed is a recent booking view, while the Jail Roster focuses on current housing and listed county programs. Neither should be treated as the final court outcome. If an online result is absent or unclear, call the relevant office and provide the person's name, the approximate event date, and the arresting agency when known.
