Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered in a search tool is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Canyon County Recent Arrests does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The search provider handles the query under its own privacy practices and technical controls.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. That may include your name, email address, message, and any details you choose to supply. We do not disclose a contact message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Basic technical information may be received when a browser requests a page. This data supports operation, security, performance measurement, and broad usage analysis. It may include:
- The device's Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and software version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- Date and time records connected with a request
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies may be used to understand how people navigate the site and to support site features. A browser can reject or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking them may cause some functions, advertising choices, or measurements to work differently.
Reasons We Use Information
Information collected through ordinary use is handled for a limited set of operational purposes:
- Keeping pages available, responsive, and secure
- Sending a search request to the appropriate outside provider
- Learning which pages and resources visitors find useful
- Diagnosing errors, broken links, and other technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests
Privacy on Linked Services
Canyon County Recent Arrests links to services operated by others. Examples include the Canyon County Current Arrests feed, the county Jail Roster, Sheriff's records pages, Idaho courts, the Idaho Department of Correction, federal or immigration locators, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy and terms govern. We do not control how that operator collects, retains, or uses information.
Advertising providers may use cookies or related technology on their own systems to measure activity and select ads. Some may recognize activity across more than one website. Their collection occurs under their policies, not as a Canyon County government practice and not as a function of the county booking systems.

- Search partners that receive and process submitted queries

- Advertising networks that deliver and assess advertisements

How Information Is Safeguarded
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No website, network transmission, or connected storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.
